For today's employee spotlight, we feature Tierra, Ophthalmic Assistant at the Hermitage Office. She has been with our team for seven years, doing anything and everything.
Tierra is always eager to step up and help wherever it's needed. She techs, scribes, does FAs, answers phones, does B scans, schedules surgeries, and serves as the IT guru when needed. She thinks ahead to ensure processes run more smoothly. If she is available, Tierra will readily work on her Mondays off. Once her children are in school, Tierra is willing to come back to full time.
"Coming to work is like a walk in the park," said Tierra. "I don't feel like I come to a job everyday." Tierra continued to say that she enjoys travelling to other offices and working with other doctors and staff. She likes that the doctors are always teaching her something new.
To continue learning and ensure her long term growth at VRC, Tierra is studying to become a COA. "It is a stepping stone to my hopeful goal of becoming an OSA," explains Tierra.
When she's not at VRC, Tierra enjoys spending time with her family, and takes full advantage of the outdoors. They do quite a bit - four wheeling, hunting, fishing, dirt biking and sled riding - just to name a few. Tierra and her family also take great pride in maintaining their garden. They grow tomatoes, lettuce, zucchini, pumpkins and watermelon.
